The dream collection is inspired by the concept of another world; a dream world, on the other side of sleep. Amorphous, hazy, ethereal; something at the edge of your memory.

Throughout the years I have really been working towards a more sustainable and eco friendly life and business. Here’s a few things I do to try and minimize my footprint. Read more about the details on my new sustainability page.
If you like it, then you should put a ring on it. Dive into the new Bridal section to see some handmade wedding bands that are minimalist enough to hang with your gorgeous engagement ring.
This band has been flat hammered to create subtle sparkly facets. Impress your design-oriented friends with a bit of flair.
A peak ring that has been notched with lines for a modern textural look. It will vary slightly due to its handmade nature—every ring is handmade to order with love!
The best of both worlds: a mini peak ring that has been hammered to create lovely sparkly facets.
Take a trip to Classyville because nothing beats the classics. The Simple Wedding Band is available in 14k gold, 18k gold, 14k palladium white gold, or 18k palladium white gold. This ring can help commemorate your marriage without your finger looking too busy.
I don’t know about you, but shopping for my mom is always pretty easy - there’s so many great locally made options out there! Here’s a few of my favorites:
Soft hints of a wave; the beauty found in imperfection; Venus emerging from the white foams of a Mediterranean tide.
Swirling together the naturalness of earth and stone, the philosophy of wabi sabi , and the mystery of the wine-dark sea, the Odyssey Collection by Goldeluxe is an art object for the ages—your own personal sculpture.
"The Dream" by Henri Rousseau is one of my favorite paintings. I remember seeing it in person for the first time at MOMA in NYC and being stunned. I would visit it every time I went back to the MOMA when I lived in New York. I love the jungle theme that permeates much of Rousseau's work and the way he brings the presence of the animals to an equal level of their human counterparts.
Apparently Rousseau thought viewers of this painting would not understand it, so he wrote an accompanying poem to this painting (translated into English):
Yadwigha in a beautiful dream
Having fallen gently to sleep
Heard the sounds of a reed instrument
Played by a well-intentioned snake charmer.
As the moon reflected
On the flowers, the verdant trees,
The wild snakes lend an ear
To the joyous tunes of the instrument.
V-day is right around the corner and if you're celebrating with your honey, your gals or treating yourself everyone deserves to feel the love! Here are some of my valentine favorites this year.
I'm happy to announce the release of the spring/summer 2017 collection! Check it out below & click on any photo to shop. All photos on models are by Alex Hoxie.
Spring is my favorite time of year - a time of hope and renewal and fresh air and green-ness. See my favorite spring picks below!
1. Belle Isle in Detroit - such a good spot to catch a little nature. Check out a great photo essay with photos by Ali Lapetina & Alex Hoxie over at Grand Circus Magazine
2. I love the spring/summer collection by Worthwhile Paper - like a breath of fresh air!
3. Currently listening to Rachel Sweet's album "Fool Around". It was released in 1978 when she was just 16. It reminds me of Kate Bush with a retro country vibe and a touch of Miley Cyrus. It's super fun! Listen on Spotify here.
4. Wall hangings by West Perro - I imagine these hanging among some plants soaking up those springtime rays.
5. For those rainy spring nights when we're cozied up on the couch - thoroughly enjoying the show Crashing on HBO.
6. I'm obsessed with this denim jacket from Sandro Paris. It actually belongs to my husband but I keep stealing it! I love the longer cut of it - it looks good on everyone. I'm currently on the hunt for a vintage (& more affordable) version for myself.
I became acquainted with the work of JB Blunk recently while reading an issue of Apartamento magazine. His body of work and way of life really resonated with me - I've thought about him almost every day since reading the article and learning about him has really made me and my husband think about how we want to live our lives.
JB blurred the lines between art and craft, creating furniture and sculpture by way of wood, clay, and stone. He even dabbled in jewelry and weavings. He gained inspiration from time spent in Japan working with a couple of famed ceramicists, gaining their friendship by simply being a gentle and humble guy.
After Japan he got an plot of land in the mountains of Inverness, CA and built a home and studio in this idyllic setting revolving around the simple lifestyle he wanted to live - still very much inspired by Japan. It really seems like his home and work reflected who he truly was as a person.
To me, JB Blunk's life sounds like dream. He lived a life of freedom and artistic expression without being forced into any sort of box. He created his ideal home in his ideal setting and lived simply. He was humble, kind and hardworking. I definitely do not claim to be an expert on him but I am a huge admirer. You can learn more about him here - I highly recommend it! (All photos have been pulled from www.jbblunk.com)
Want to trick out your hands but not sure how? Stacking rings are a great way to start — you can mix and match them so many ways. By day, go for a minimal look with just a ring or two; by night, stack 'em high for a stronger statement. They are so lightweight and easy to wear that you'll barely feel them.
The key to mixing stacking rings is creating a balanced look. Stick to rings that are all on a similar scale to make a unified look. If you want to stack a ton of rings on one finger, think about keeping the rest of your hand more minimal to balance it out. If you want to wear a midi ring above the knuckle, stay more understated on that finger below and balance it out with a bigger stack on an opposite finger.
Of course, the best way to deck out your digits is up to you! It's all about personal preference. Mix those metals, make a statement, or keep a minimal ring stack on 24/7 so you never have to think about it. Find the full range of Goldeluxe stacking rings available here.
